Midsummer Flowers I and II, watercolour on paper, 31 cm x 37 cm (framed), 2023

My work is to celebrate the natural wonders within our gardens. I seek to capture the fundamental beauty of flowers and transform them into a realm of abstraction.
During a lucid dream, I may be able to interact with flowers as my primary object. I can paint flowers by the expressive potential of bold, vivid hues and the dynamic interplay of shapes and lines. This is to re-image flowers from my perspective and to create a diverse range of flower motifs. Lucid dream offers an insight into the intricacies of my mind between the nature of consciousness, art, and nature.
